Hello there!
I’m Jessie Raijmakers (1994), a versatile designer with a passion for the creative process – like a Swiss army knife in the world of creatives. From a young age, I have been immersed in creativity, designing, and making.

Through my education in design, I’ve developed into an enthusiastic and multifaceted designer. From installations to graphic design, and from product design to videography – I love doing it all. I enjoy combining different materials and disciplines to create captivating designs.

During my studies at the University of Northampton in 2021, I won a New Bloods Award for a papercraft video explaining how to recycle your phone sustainably. That same year, I graduated with honors with a product that gave old city banners a new life.

I founded Studio Jess is more during my time at SintLucas. Inspired by the “making” aspect of the design process, I am dedicated to developing new and surprising products that spread joy and convey a message of sustainability.

The making process is central to my work. I design by doing: by experimenting early on, I quickly discover how materials and shapes come together. To reconnect with this craft-based approach, I started working with linocut printing. The process of carving, inking, and printing is direct and intuitive. Every step offers room for surprises, resulting in vibrant and unique designs.
